Quill-Along Mosaics

I worked on the following mosaics as part of Quill-Alongs, designed and organized by Erin Curet of Little Circles

Retro Flowers
This is the first quill-along in which I participated. I began it on time when it started in November 2014. It was February before I finally finished and framed it though.

Stained Glass Waves
I changed up this quill-along a little bit. Erin included an island in her example. I added the cloud in the corner of mine. Aug. - Nov. 2015

I am really proud of how professional the framing looks!

Here it is in my parents' house along with some art made by my sisters.

Splendid Peacock
I don't love birds, but I do love the way this peacock came out! This was the quill-along for March 2016. I finished and framed it in May and then gave it as a gift later that year.

Enchanted Galaxy Forest
This quill-along also took place in 2016. I began it in July and finished and framed it in October.

This was a fun piece to work on. In the instructions, Erin used glow-in-the-dark paint for the stars. I happened to have glow-in-the-dark paper, so I cut it down to size and used that!

Here is it along with E's galaxy!

Geometric Landscape
I love the clouds in this piece. This quill-along started up in October 2016. I stayed on pace with this one pretty well and completed it in December 2016.

Tropical Flowers
So much color! This is the first big piece that I've done that has a 1/4" paper design and 1/8" paper background. This quill-along started in March 2020. I thought for sure that I would stay on pace with this one, but then the pandemic came into full swing and so many things changed. I did manage to finish it in June after the school year ended for me and E.

I'm actually quite fond of how this looks with half the background empty and half of it completed with the 1/8" coils.
