Tree Owls

I made this mosaic to practice the gradation between colors in the grass and sky.

This tree began with just one owl. I had made a space for him in the center of the tree. When I finished the piece, I thought he seemed lonely, so I took out a branch and added the second owl to keep him company.

The pink wings of the second owl were made with 1/16th inch strips of paper. The rest of the mosaic has been made with 1/8th inch strips.

Both owls are happy now!
